The Yashica MG-1 is a classic fixed-lens 35mm rangefinder from the early 1970s, built around a sharp Yashinon 45mm f/2.8 lens and a straightforward aperture-priority exposure system. It sits right in that sweet spot of vintage rangefinders: compact enough to carry regularly, simple enough to stay out of your way, and equipped with a genuinely nice lens.

The 45mm focal length is particularly good for everyday film photography. It sits between the traditional 35mm and 50mm perspectives, making it equally comfortable for street photography, travel, environmental portraits, and general walkaround shooting. The rangefinder focusing system also keeps the camera relatively quiet and compact compared with an SLR.

This example has already received new light seals, taking care of one of the common age-related maintenance items on cameras from this era.

Condition: GOOD

This Yashica MG-1 is in good condition and fully functional. The body shows noticeable cosmetic wear consistent with its age and use, and there is a small dent in the lens filter ring. The dent does not affect normal camera or lens operation, though it may make attaching threaded filters more difficult depending on the affected area.

The Yashinon 45mm f/2.8 lens is otherwise in good usable condition. The camera has also been fitted with new light seals and is ready to get back out shooting.
