Yashica Electro 35 GTN 35mm Rangefinder Film Camera

The Yashica Electro 35 GTN is one of the classic fixed-lens rangefinders of the 1970s, combining a fast Yashinon 45mm f/1.7 lens with a wonderfully quiet leaf shutter and a compact body that makes it a great street, travel, and everyday film camera. The black-finished GTN is particularly good-looking, with just enough late-60s/70s rangefinder energy without becoming a brick to carry around.

The 45mm f/1.7 is a big part of why the Electro 35 family remains popular. It is fast enough for available-light photography, has a very natural standard-lens perspective, and delivers the smooth vintage rendering these cameras are known for. This particular camera has also had some useful restoration work performed, including cleaned optics, fresh light seals, and a calibrated rangefinder.

Condition: ONE-OFF

This Yashica Electro 35 GTN is mechanically usable but is being listed as a One-Off because the built-in light meter is dead and does not function. Exposure will therefore need to be determined using an external light meter or a metering app.

The camera has received new light seals, the optics have been cleaned, and the rangefinder has been calibrated for accurate focusing. Aside from the non-functioning meter, the camera is operating properly. Cosmetic wear is consistent with a vintage user-grade camera.

For someone comfortable metering externally, this is still a very capable shooter with a freshly sorted rangefinder and clean optics.
