The Vivitar 28mm f/2.8 MC for Pentax K Mount is one of those classic third-party manual focus wide angles that punches well above its price point and delivers a ton of vintage character for very little money.

During the manual-focus era, Vivitar sourced lenses from several respected Japanese manufacturers, and many of their MC-series lenses developed a reputation for solid optics, compact size, and surprisingly good mechanical feel.
