Viltrox EF-EOS M Adapter

The Viltrox EF-EOS M Adapter is a handy little piece of kit for Canon EOS M shooters who want to tap into the enormous catalog of Canon EF and EF-S lenses rather than being limited to native EF-M glass. It mounts between a compatible EOS M mirrorless camera and an EF/EF-S lens while maintaining the electronic connection between the two.

That makes it particularly useful if you already have a bag full of Canon DSLR lenses and want to put them to work on a compact EOS M body. Depending on the attached lens and camera, electronic communication allows functions such as autofocus, aperture control, and EXIF data to continue working. It is also a popular option for EOS M video rigs, where the huge selection of inexpensive used EF glass can be a real advantage.

Because Canon EOS M cameras use an APS-C sensor, EF and EF-S lenses retain the familiar 1.6x crop factor when used through this standard adapter. This is a straight mount adapter, not a focal reducer or "speed booster."
