Tamron SP Macro 90mm f/2.8 Nikon Ai Mount

The Tamron SP 90mm f/2.8 Macro is one of the most respected vintage macro lenses ever made, often referred to as the “portrait macro” because of its beautiful rendering and sharpness. Designed as part of Tamron’s legendary SP (Super Performance) lineup, this lens delivers true macro capability along with a very pleasing look for portraits and close-up work.

This version is fitted with a Nikon Ai mount, making it compatible with classic Nikon manual focus film bodies as well as many modern digital systems via adapters.

Unfortunately, this example has significant optical issues and is being sold as a one-off item.

Condition: ONE-OFF
This lens has heavy haze present, which appears to be located within the cemented optical elements. Because of this, image quality will be heavily affected with reduced contrast, glow, and softness.

The lens may still have value for:

• Parts or repair
• Experimental “dreamy glow” shooting
• Display or collection purposes
• A restoration attempt by someone experienced with lens separation work
