The Rollei Zeiss Distagon 50mm f/4 HFT EL is a highly regarded wide-angle lens for the Rolleiflex SLX and 6000-series medium format cameras. At 50mm (approx. 31mm equivalent in 35mm terms), it’s an excellent choice for landscapes, architecture, interiors, and environmental portraiture—giving you dramatic wide perspectives with Zeiss’s trademark sharpness and microcontrast.

This version is the “EL” variant, which is optically and mechanically equivalent to the later PQ series lenses, but it features a more practical standard 67mm filter thread. That makes it easier to use with widely available filters and accessories, while still maintaining full integration with the Rolleiflex 6000 shutter control system.
