The Polaroid Sonar One Step is one of the coolest evolutions of the classic folding Polaroid instant camera. It keeps the wonderfully simple point-and-shoot experience that made the OneStep family famous, but adds Polaroid’s Sonar Autofocus system, which uses ultrasonic ranging to determine subject distance and automatically set focus before the exposure.

That makes the Sonar OneStep particularly fun for portraits, parties, travel, and everyday snapshots. You still get all the soft color, chunky instant-film texture, and wonderfully imperfect character people want from vintage Polaroid, but with a more sophisticated focusing system than the simpler fixed-focus models.

The folding design also gives it that unmistakable late-70s/early-80s Polaroid look. It’s a camera that is genuinely fun to use and looks equally good sitting on a shelf between rolls.
