The Pentax K1000 + Pentax-M 50mm f/2 is about as classic as a 35mm SLR setup gets. Fully manual, straightforward, and famously durable, the K1000 became the camera countless photographers learned on because there is very little between you and the fundamentals of photography. Set the shutter speed, set the aperture, line up the meter, focus, and shoot.

This particular K1000 has received considerably more attention than the average used example. The prism has been replaced, the light meter has been calibrated, and new light seals have been installed, addressing several of the age-related issues commonly encountered on cameras from this era.

The included SMC Pentax-M 50mm f/2 is a compact standard prime that makes an excellent everyday pairing for the K1000. It is small, lightweight, and versatile enough for street photography, portraits, travel, and photography classes.

Condition: EXCELLENT

The camera body is in excellent condition and fully functional. The prism has been swapped for a clean replacement, the meter has been calibrated for accurate readings, and new light seals have been installed.

The 50mm f/2 lens has also been cleaned. There are still three small spots with fungus tendrils present internally. These are limited in extent, but they may cause some additional flare or reduction in contrast under challenging lighting conditions. Focus and aperture operation are working properly.

Overall, this is a nicely serviced K1000 that is ready to get back out and burn through some film.
