Pentax K1000 35mm SLR Film Camera + Pentax-M 50mm f/2 Lens

The Pentax K1000 + SMC Pentax-M 50mm f/2 is about as classic as 35mm photography gets. Fully manual, mechanically straightforward, and famously easy to learn on, the K1000 spent decades in camera bags and photography classrooms for good reason. There is very little between you and making the photograph: set your shutter speed, aperture, focus, and shoot.

The included Pentax-M 50mm f/2 keeps the setup compact and lightweight while providing the classic normal perspective that works for just about everything. Portraits, street photography, travel, class assignments, and everyday snapshots are all right in its wheelhouse. The Pentax K-mount also gives you access to a huge catalog of excellent vintage glass if you want to build out the system later.

This example has a couple of age-related optical issues, but remains a solid user-grade K1000 for someone who wants to actually go out and shoot rather than worry about keeping a collector piece pristine.

Condition: GOOD

This Pentax K1000 is in good condition and fully operational. The included Pentax-M 50mm f/2 lens has faint internal haze, which may slightly reduce contrast or introduce a little extra glow in strong backlighting but should remain quite usable for everyday photography.

The viewfinder prism also shows some desilvering. This is visible while looking through the finder but does not affect the photographs themselves, since the prism is not part of the image-forming optical path.

Aside from these noted issues, the camera and lens function properly.
