The K1000 earned its reputation through simplicity. It's a straightforward manual-focus, manual-exposure SLR with an easy-to-read light meter and very little standing between you and making a photograph. That simplicity made it a photography-class staple for decades, and it remains one of the easiest cameras to recommend for someone learning film today.

This particular body underwent a much more involved restoration than the usual clean-and-service job. After addressing existing rust and corrosion, the exterior was professionally sanded and powder coated in a custom blue finish, with the camera's markings carefully repainted afterward. The result is a K1000 that retains the familiar mechanical shooting experience but looks unlike just about any other one you're going to encounter.

The included Pentax-A 50mm f/2 completes the setup with a compact, lightweight normal lens that's perfect for everyday photography, portraits, travel, and learning the fundamentals of manual focus shooting.
