The Olympus OM-1 + 50mm f/1.8 is one of the quintessential manual-focus 35mm SLR setups. The OM-1 helped establish Olympus's reputation for making serious SLRs dramatically smaller and lighter than much of the competition, without sacrificing the mechanical feel and control photographers wanted.

Paired with the compact Zuiko 50mm f/1.8, this is an excellent everyday film kit. The fast normal lens works beautifully for street photography, portraits, travel, and available-light shooting, while the OM-1's large, bright viewfinder makes manual focusing genuinely enjoyable. It's a particularly good setup for someone looking to learn fully manual photography without carrying around a brick of a camera.

This Olympus OM-1 is in good condition and fully functional, with noticeable cosmetic wear consistent with normal age and use.

The included 50mm f/1.8 lens has slight internal haze. There is also a small amount of fungus around the edges of the viewfinder optics. The viewfinder remains usable, and because this fungus is confined to the viewing system, it will not appear in photographs or affect the image recorded on film.

The camera otherwise operates properly and makes a great user-grade OM-1 kit.
