Nikon F 35mm SLR Film Camera w/ Photo Prism + 50mm f/1.4 Lens

The Nikon F with 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor and Photomic prism is pure old-school Nikon. Built around Nikon’s first professional 35mm SLR system, the F established the basic formula that would carry through generations of Nikon pro cameras: rugged construction, interchangeable finders, a huge lens ecosystem, and the ability to take an absolute beating while continuing to make photographs.

This example pairs a black Nikon F body with a Photomic metered prism and fast 50mm f/1.4 Nikkor. The 50mm f/1.4 is a classic everyday lens for the system, with plenty of speed for available-light work and the sort of vintage Nikkor rendering that works beautifully for street photography, portraits, and general shooting.

The Photomic finder gives the camera that unmistakable chunky professional Nikon silhouette. On this particular kit, however, the meter is no longer operational. The good news is that the Nikon F itself is fundamentally a mechanical camera, so the dead prism meter does not prevent normal shooting. Pair it with a handheld meter, phone meter, or good old Sunny 16 and keep on trucking.

Condition: ONE-OFF

The camera body is functioning well and the shutter fires properly. The Photomic prism meter does not operate, so exposure will need to be determined externally.

The included 50mm f/1.4 lens has mild internal haze along with some scratching on the glass. These optical imperfections may reduce contrast and increase flare, particularly when shooting toward strong light sources. The lens remains functional, but its condition and the non-working prism meter are why we're selling this particular kit as a One-Off rather than one of our standard Excellent or Good Nikon F kits.

Cosmetically, the camera shows normal signs of use appropriate for a working vintage Nikon F.
