The Nikon AR-3 is a classic mechanical soft shutter release cable designed to give you smoother, vibration-free exposures—perfect for long exposures, tripod work, or when shooting with slower shutter speeds. It screws into the threaded shutter release of compatible Nikon cameras (and many other cameras with standard cable release threads) and uses a locking plunger mechanism, allowing you to lock the shutter open for Bulb mode exposures.
