Fujifilm Discovery 270 Zoom 35mm Point and Shoot

The Fujifilm Discovery 270 Zoom is a sleek and compact 35mm point-and-shoot camera from the early 1990s, featuring a versatile 38–70mm zoom lens, built-in flash, and easy automatic operation. Known in some markets as the Cardia Super 270, this camera was part of Fuji’s push to make zoom compacts more pocketable and beginner-friendly—while still delivering that classic Fuji color rendering on film.

The 270 Zoom features motorized film loading and rewind, a built-in quartz date back, and auto flash modes (including red-eye reduction), all in a lightweight body with ergonomic styling. While designed for casual snapshots and vacation shooting, it has found new life with film shooters looking for that late-'90s digicam aesthetic in a 35mm wrapper.

• Exposure counter display is non-functional, but does not affect shooting or operation
• Data back works, but shows minor light leaks around the edges—it still sets and prints the date but is not light-tight enough to be used in critical applications without modification
• Lens is clean with no haze, fungus, or major scratches
• Viewfinder is clear
• Body shows average cosmetic wear consistent with use
• Battery compartment is clean

This camera is being sold as a one-off due to its quirks. It works well overall and still shoots great photos, but the exposure counter issue and data back light leaks keep it from qualifying as Excellent under our usual criteria.
