CR123 & CR123A are a common battery type for film cameras from the 1990s through early 2000s. Point-and-shoot models relied on these cells to drive their automatic exposure systems, autofocus mechanisms, and built-in flash units. Automated SLR cameras from this era similarly depended on CR123a power for metering, motor drive functions, and electronic shutter controls.
Common cameras that used this battery include the following (but this is by no means an exhaustive list! This is is a general guideline, check your manual for exact compatibility - if it needs 3v batteries it may also take the smaller CR2 size, or use the CRP2 pack style battery.)
Olympus Stylus Series
Canon EOS SLR
Nikon F Autofocus SLR
Konica automatic cameras
High end compacts from Contax, Nikon, and Leica
