Canonet QL17 GIII 35mm Rangefinder Film Camera Custom CLA Fully Working

For sale here is a Canonet QL17 GIII 35mm Rangefinder film camera. It comes in good working order, and has had the viewfinder/rangefinder cleaned and calibrated, the meter tested, and new light seals installed. The shutter has also been checked for oil buildup and cleaned. I make, on average, 3-4 of these custom Canonets a month. They're probably my favorite 35mm camera available under $1,000.

This is a very clean example of this splendid camera, and I've attached some photos taken with it. (So yes, it's very much film tested!)

Condition Report:

It's in excellent working condition. Meter is accurate, and works well in shutter priority mode. Put new seals in it, and cleaned and re-calibrated the RF, so it's bright and very accurate.

The meter is there if you want it, but the camera is 100% mechanical, so it isn't reliant on batteries. The rangefinder is bright and accurate and allows me to achieve far more consistent in focus shots than with an slr.

ABOUT THIS CAMERA

I adjust, clean, and calibrate the rangefinder and light meter assemblies, service the shutter and aperture units, clean out each lens element, then reassemble everything to factory spec. The light seals are then replace after thoroughly cleaning the film back area, and the old leatherette is painstakingly peeled off, with the underlying body being cleaned before the new replacement leatherette is applied. All told, its a number of hours of high-skill labor to make one of these.

Basically the bottom line is the ebay $150 as is listings will likely stop working within a year, which will necessitate a $150+ CLA. So, this way you're just paying for that service up front and not having to deal with the hassle and frustration of having the camera die right before that once in a lifetime photo opportunity happens. I think that security is worth the cost, and I have had hundreds of customers for this service that agree.
