Canon WP-1 35mm SLR Underwater Film Camera

The Canon WP-1 is one of the more unusual Canon point-and-shoots from the 1990s, built as a rugged, water-resistant 35mm compact for vacations, beaches, pools, and the sort of places where bringing your normal camera feels like a questionable life choice.

The WP-1 pairs simple autofocus point-and-shoot operation with a 32mm f/3.5 lens, built-in flash, and a sealed body. It has become a bit of a cult favorite among film shooters because it combines the classic direct-flash compact-camera look with genuinely rugged construction. This particular camera has also been film tested, and the resulting images came out beautifully.

Condition: GOOD

This Canon WP-1 is in good, fully operational condition with normal signs of cosmetic wear. The camera has been film tested with excellent results.

The rear latch does require a little assistance when closing. Once properly closed, however, the latch holds securely. Because of this issue, we would not recommend relying on the camera for underwater use without having the seals and pressure resistance professionally checked first. For normal above-water shooting, the camera functions as intended.

The lens is clean and the autofocus, shutter, flash, metering, and film transport are all functioning properly.
