Canon FL 50mm f/1.8 Lens

The Canon FL 50mm f/1.8 is a classic standard prime from Canon’s pre-FD manual-focus era. Compact, fast, and nicely built, it’s a great companion for Canon FL-mount film bodies and an inexpensive way to get into vintage Canon glass for adaptation to modern mirrorless cameras.

At 50mm, it gives you the quintessential normal-lens perspective, while the f/1.8 maximum aperture provides plenty of light-gathering ability for available-light photography and enough depth-of-field control for portraits. The older FL-era optical design also has a distinctly vintage rendering compared with modern lenses, particularly when shooting wide open or into strong light.

Condition: GOOD

This lens is in good used condition with normal signs of age and use. The optics have moderate internal haze. This can reduce contrast and increase flare or softness, particularly when shooting wide open or in backlit situations, and is reflected in our condition rating.

Focus and aperture functions operate properly. A solid user lens for someone who doesn't mind a little extra vintage character, or a good candidate for a future cleaning.
