The Alpa Si 2000 is a lesser-seen M42 mount 35mm SLR wearing the prestigious Alpa name, produced during the transitional era when Alpa-branded cameras were being sourced from established Japanese manufacturers. Unlike the earlier Swiss-made Alpas, the Si 2000 is a practical, electronically controlled SLR with aperture-priority auto exposure and manual mode.

With its M42 screw mount, it pairs beautifully with Takumars, Zeiss Jena glass, Helios lenses, and the whole world of vintage screw-mount optics. It offers center-weighted metering, vertical-travel focal plane shutter, and classic late-70s styling that feels right at home next to a Spotmatic or Chinon.
