Used Equipment Grades

  • Mint

    • Essentially new with virtually no signs of wear and tear. Only a detailed visual inspection will reveal signs of use. 
    • Equipment works perfectly with all their functions and clean and clear of any defects.
    • Comes with a 90-day warranty.

  • Excellent

    • Noticeably used with average signs of wear. Could have up to two small dings or blemishes.
    • Cameras will work perfectly with all their functions.
    • Lenses work perfectly and only have an insignificant amount of internal dust.
    • Comes with a 90-day warranty.

  • Good

    • Noticeably used with more than average signs of wear. Has more than two small dings or blemishes.
    • Camera is fully operational with all functions. 
    • Lens works perfectly but can have insignificant internal dust, haze, or fungus. But, won't have more than 1 of these defects.
    • Comes with a 90-day warranty.

  • One-Off

    • Noticeably used with more than average signs of wear. Has more than two small dings or blemishes. 
    • The camera is missing some functions and the missing functions are listed in the product description.
    • The lens works perfectly but can have insignificant internal dust, haze, or fungus. All defects must be listed.
    • Comes with a 90-day warranty.

  • AS-IS

    • Products graded as so have not tested, are non-functional, or are damaged. Equipment may not work.
    • No returns are accepted for AS-IS items.
    • Does NOT come with a 90-day warranty.

  • Repair or Parts Only

Grade Definitions

Detailed Visual Inspection

A visual inspection with the use of a flash light and or loupe magnifier.

Noticeable

Visible without the use of a flash light and or loupe magnifier.

Ding

A dent smaller than 0.25” in diameter.

Blemish

Wear in the leatherette or body smaller than 0.5” in diameter. Scratch less than 0.5” in length.

LIMITED WARRANTY STATEMENT

This Limited Warranty is provided by Coastal Film Lab and covers all second-hand cameras and lenses sold by Coastal Film Lab (“Product”).

  1. Warranty Period: This Limited Warranty is valid for a period of 3 months (90 Days) from the date of purchase (“Warranty Period”).
  2. Warranty Coverage: During the Warranty Period, Coastal Film Lab will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the Product with a similar or comparable product, should the Product be found to have any defects that arose during the Warranty Period.
  3. Exclusions: This Limited Warranty does not cover any damage inflicted on the Product by the user, including but not limited to physical damage, water damage, or damage resulting from misuse, abuse, or neglect. Coastal Film Lab is not liable for any defects that are caused by the user’s mishandling of the Product.
  4. Claim Process: To make a claim under this Limited Warranty, the user must provide proof of purchase and notify Coastal Film Lab of the defect within the Warranty Period.

Limitation of Liability: Coastal Film Lab’s liability under this Limited Warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the Product.
